Initiative Online Print e.V. intensifies its position in the online print industry

Essen, 08.05.2018 – The industry initiative continues to grow successfully: the members of the Initiative Online Print e.V. (IOP) were invited to this year’s spring members’ meeting of Longo Germany in South Tyrol, Italy, from 25-27 April 2018. Meeting rooms were made available at the DURST Phototechnik AG headquarters in Brixen, where new members Probo Print GmbH and Spreadshirt introduced themselves to the IOP members. The entry of these two successful online print players into the leading association of the online print industry shows the high value of the IOP as an exchange platform for top issues of the online print industry. Bernd Zipper, Chairman of the Board of the Initiative Online Print e.V. (www.initiative-online-print.de) and CEO of zipcon consulting GmbH, emphasises: “We are very pleased to welcome the new members Probo Print GmbH and Spreadshirt to the IOP. In recent years, many innovative and sustainable online printers have found their permanent place in the IOP. New and old members appreciate the direct exchange on industry-relevant topics and developments at a high professional level within the initiative.”

The IOP is pleased about the two new members.

Expert lecture on IT law with important tips for the online print industry

In addition to the new members joining, Mr Ralf Schlözer, Keypoint – InfoTrends, gave a lecture on “Onlineprint in Italy” and Dr Martin Schirmbacher, specialist lawyer for IT law of HÄRTING Rechtsanwälte PartGmbB and Compliance Officer of the IOP, spoke on the topics “Facebook Cookies & Co” and on the DSGVO “Top 10 – to do’s in e-commerce/online shop”.

Both speakers gave interesting examples and worth knowing developments from online print and e-commerce in their presentations. The meeting was rounded off with a company tour of DURST Phototechnik AG in Brixen and an interesting company tour of Longo AG in Bozen. Since its foundation in 1957, Longo has been involved in various business areas related to printing and media, and the members had the unique opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of a traditional company.
